The foundation's goal this year is to raise $750,000, said Tina Murray, director of annual giving for the Los Gatos Education Foundation. So far, the nonprofit agency has raised 93 percent of its goal.

Murray said although the gala was a success and everyone had a wonderful time, the event could have been more well attended. About 75 extra tickets didn't sell.

"We were competing with the Sharks game and many of our families were out of town so even parents who normally support us every year were not available," Murray said.

Donations in any amount are accepted, Murray said. If you're interested in donating to the campaign click here.
