Where to Order a Fresh Turkey For Thanksgiving in Los Gatos

Not good at cooking turkey? Several grocery store delis in Los Gatos offer cooked turkeys—and whole menus—but don't delay, since orders must be submitted at least three days before the holiday.

WHOLE FOODS MARKET, 15980 Los Gatos Blvd., 408-358-4434: Diestel turkeys available in different sizes. A large roasted turkey for 10 people, weighing between 14 and 16 pounds is selling for $89.99. Order must in by in Tuesday, Nov. 26.

TRADER JOE'S, 15466 Los Gatos Blvd., 408-356-2324: Cooked turkeys available to pick up anytime until Thanksgiving Day priced between $35 and $40. No orders taken.

SAFEWAY'S three locations in Los Gatos at 15549 Union Ave., 408-559-5750;  1500 Pollard Road, 408-374-2050; 470 No. Santa Cruz Ave. 408-354-9708. Store will be open until 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving meals include turkey weighing between 10 and 12 pounds, for family of four, with pumpkin pie, dinner rolls, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy and cranberry sauce for $44.99. Order must be in asap. No orders will be taken next week, if turkey meals are gone.

LUNARDI'S, 720 Blossom Hill Rd., 408-358-1731: 10-11-pound turkey, four pounds of mashed potatoes, four pounds of stuffing, 48 ounces of turkey gravy, 30 ounces of cranberry sauce, one dozen dinner rolls and a nine-inch pumpkin pie for $99.99. Serves between eight and 10 people. Orders must be placed asap, but there are no deadlines, even up to Thanksgiving, when the market is open until 3 p.m.
