PHOTOS: 57th Los Gatos Children's Christmas and Holidays Parade

Thousands line North Santa Cruz Avenue and Main Street Saturday morning in downtown Los Gatos for a chance to celebrate the start of the holidays.

Under beautiful clear blue skies, Los Gatos held its 57th annual Children's Christmas and Holidays Parade Saturday morning, cold temperatures unable to lower the warm season spirit felt all around.

With 248 entries, ranging from school music bands, Santa Clara County Fire apparatus and dance, nonprofit, faith and business groups, the parade formed at the corner of Almendra and North Santa Cruz avenues and proceeded south on North Santa Cruz Avenue to Main Street.

From there, it marched east on Main Street to Church Street where it ended.

Exact attendance and participation numbers were not available by the time of this posting, but the event, known as the largest of its kind on the West Coast,  attracts nearly 20,000 people each year.
