Updated: Men's clothing retail store Lorenzini San Francisco is moving into the former BabyBuzz location at 35 W. Main St.

Signs taped to the inside glass windows of the retail space announce that Lorenzini, which also has a location in San Francisco at 2149 Union St., is coming soon.

The space was vacated in January when BabyBuzz closed citing changes in the market and the growing trend in online retail shopping.

A review on the citysearch.com website said, "Men of leisure look to this European-style boutique for elegant sportswear. In short: An old-school vibe dominates the interior of this intimate shop where individual attention is given to each customer. Tailored slacks and sports coats share the packed space with designer jeans, jersey T-shirts, cashmere sweaters, button-down shirts in a rainbow of colors and fine fabrics, as well as suede jackets. Well-heeled gents choose spiffy Italian shoes, leather topsiders and sneakers along with silk-blend socks. A small selection of sunglasses, ties and wallets are also available."

Shahbaz Akhtar, owner of the Lorenzini San Francisco store, said he's hoping to be in business sometime in July.

Akhtar has owned the San Francisco store for more than 30 years.

He said he's making small upgrades to the approximately 1,200-square-foot location, which will only sell men's clothing and eventually shoes and accessories such as leather jackets and sports wear.

"I'm very excited about opening in Los Gatos," Akhtar said, adding that he's been looking to open a store in town for the past 15 years.

"We will sell very updated jackets, trousers, shirts, knitwear and European clothing for the modern man," he said.
