Former Los Gatos Nick's on Main, Fromage Locations Still Empty

At least one owner cites lease disagreement with landlord for moving out.

Popular Nick's on Main closed its 35 E. Main St. location earlier this year and Fromage & Specialties also moved out from its 33 E. Main St. space leaving now two next-door empty store fronts on the popular street.

We took photos of the empty windows last week and wondered what businesses would move in and would do well on the busy street.

Nick's on Main owner Nick Difu, who opened Nick's Next door in May of 2012 at the old Tapestry Bistro building at 11 College Ave., told his clients that he was moving out of the East Main Street location because or a lease disagreement with the building's owners.

Which leaves us wondering how high the rents are for these two locations.

Fromage & Specialties sold a variety of cheeses, a small selection of meats, olive oils, crackers and other imported food items.
