Julianne Sylva, Neighbor

For more than 20 years, Julianne Sylva has worked as a prosecutor with the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. She has prosecuted a variety of crimes and has served as the Los Gatos/Campbell vertical prosecutor.

For eight years she oversaw Santa Clara County's Child Abduction Unit and recovered children from all over the world. She is currently assigned to the Juvenile Justice Unit, where she is responsible for prosecuting truancy cases against parents and teens, and overseeing the Law Related Education Program and San Jose's Parent Project. She consults for the Department of Justice as part of a team that has implemented Alerta Amber in Mexico.
