Donald Lee is a local Eagan resident who has spent most of his life working in high technology.  He built compilers and tools for Univac, wrote system software and tuned system performance for Cray Research, wrote device drivers and managed an engineering team at Adaptec, went back to system software, managing the network department at Cray Inc, and then worked on filesystem software at Panasas. He has also run businesses ranging from Apple II consulting to a small ISP. He cares about the future of the nation, and writes about issues of importance.

In 2008, Don decided that simply holding opinions was not enough.  He turned passion into action and went to his first political caucus.  Since then, he has become active in local politics, becoming a minor official in the Republican party.  He has run for Minnesota state representative. He remains active in local political and advocacy organizations. He sits on the board of a local journal of ideas - a thoughtful journal for thoughtful people -The St. Croix Review. Don intends to remain active in the community and help shape our political and civic future.  His blog on Mendota Heights Patch will be his way of carrying on a conversation with the citizens about events and issues.
