KCAT TV-15's programming can be seen by more than 10,000 cable households in both communities. The studio is located on the side of the Los Gatos High School campus at 44 Brooklyn Avenue. The station was created by trustees of the Los Gatos-Saratoga High School District in 1983 working in partnership with Los Gatos High School and funding from the Town of Los Gatos. It operated inside a school building that was previously used for agricultural purposes. In the summer of 2009, KCAT operations were moved across campus to a temporary site between the pool and maintenance areas. The station airs public service announcements at no charge to community organizations.
