LOS GATOS TOWN COUNCIL POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING

The Los Gatos Town Council Policy Committee will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10 at town Council Chambers, 110 E. Main St. Topics on the agenda include public use of town equipment and signs at Town Council meetings and transition to digital tablets for Council packets. LIVE ENTERTAINMENT ORDINANCE COMMUNITY OUTREACH MEETING

The Town of Los Gatos is inviting the public to a community outreach meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 in the Town Council Chambers, 110 E. Main St., to discuss a proposed live entertainment ordinance. The new ordinance would regulate proposed live entertainment uses and establish standards for the application, public review, permitting, and operation of these types of uses in non-residential areas of the community. ART DOCENTS OF LOS GATOS OPEN HOUSE

The Art Docents of Los Gatos are inviting the community to an open house 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Art Docent office, 17000 Roberts Rd., to learn how they can become volunteers for the nonprofit organization, which provides resources for Los Gatos Union School District teachers. Volunteers learn about the Art Docent program, curriculum, and basic classroom-skills. No previous experience with teaching is required. Training this year starts on Thursday, Sept. 19. SPORTISSIMO FREE FUN RUN/WALK IN LOS GATOS

Join Sportissimo's free fun run/walk at 6 p.m. every Wednesday at 786 Blossom Hill Rd. All levels are welcome. Event consists of walking/running three miles from Los Gatos store, located inside King's Court shopping center, through Vasona Park and back. EVOLUTION OF GREEN: ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVISM IN SANTA CLARA VALLEY

Evolution of Green is an exhibit sharing the stories of those individuals and groups whose experiences have shaped the evolving narrative of the valley's environmental story for the past 50 years 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday and Friday and noon-4 p.m. Wednesday and Sunday through Sept. 22 at the History Museum of Los Gatos, 75 Church St. Details: 408-354-2646.
