Once again the organized its cioppino dinner to benefit local charities Saturday evening.
More than 300 people were fed at St. Mary's Church's Howley Hall, according to club spokeswoman Carol Musser. Proceeds from the ticket sales benefit the Lions Eye Foundation, scholarships and community projects.
The succulent dinner included salads, breads, antipasto, wine and the main feature, cioppino.
A raffle and silent auction was held for chances to win prizes such as art, gift baskets, jewelry, wine and other assorted goodies.
It's no surprise that this event was oversold and there was a waiting list for tickets. People tried to get tickets at the door and none were available. I just think it was too inexpensive for the quality of the food. Oh, and the auction and raffle items were excellent!! Great Job Lions!
