Silicon Valley Father's Day Events Guide

From car shows to breakfast buffets, events in the area that pay homage to Dad.

Belly Dancing at Morocco’s
When/Where: 5-9:30 p.m., Sunday, June 17, , 873 Castro St., Mountain View
What: Want an unconventional way to celebrate Father’s Day? Morocco’s is offering its signature belly dancing show. Dads will receive special prices for food and wine tasting.

Cost: Show is free; food varies based on the purchase.

Car Show and BBQ
When/Where: 6 p.m., Saturday, June 16, Home Church Parking Lot, 1799 Winchester Blvd., Campbell.
What: You may not be able to afford buying your dad a new car for Father’s Day, but you can take him to a Father’s Day Car Show and BBQ. The event also features a bounce house, live music, raffle prizes. As an added bonus, proceeds will benefit the Campbell Veterans’ Memorial, which is currently under construction. 
Cost: Free

Gilroy Gardens Camp Night
When/Where: 4 p.m. Saturday, June 16 to 3 p.m., Sunday, June 17, , 3050 Hecker Pass Rd., Gilroy
What: Fathers can camp with their families overnight and then enjoy rides and activities at the park the next day. The cost includes dinner, breakfast and lunch, as well as space to camp on a large, grassy field. Register in advance on the website.
Cost: $49.99, $39.99 for members

Father’s Day Bakesale
When/Where: Sunday, June 17, , 400 West Campbell Ave., Campbell.
What: Following worship, buy a cupcake or a variety of other baked goodies for your father, grandfather or yourself!
Cost: It varies.

Father’s Day Cake Decorating
When/Where: 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. sessions, Saturday, June 16, , 4800 El Camino Real.
What: Kids can decorate a six-inch single cake with icing to present to their fathers.
Cost: Free

Father’s Day on Santana Row
When/Where: 10 a.m.-10:30 p.m., Sunday, June 17, West Bank Brasserie, 377 Santana Row, San Jose
What: Celebrate the day in style through enjoying West Bank Brasserie’s a la carte brunch, lunch and dinner menus that include a special of roasted Rib Eye Steak with béarnaise sauce, potato gratin, haricot verts and Provençale tomato.
Cost: $34


When/Where: 4:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, June 15, La Hacienda Inn, 18840 Saratoga-Los Gatos Rd., Los Gatos.
What: Celebrate Father’s Day in advance with live music, gourmet food trucks, beer and wine.
Cost: Free

When/Where: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Sunday, June 17, Dio Deka, 210 East Main St., Los Gatos
What: Only Michelin-starred restaurant in North America serving Hellenic cuisine will feature Chef Marty Cattaneo (formerly of Manresa and Ubuntu) who will serve a brunch filled with traditional Greek favorites seasoned with California technique to celebrate the special fathers in our lives.

Cost: Entrees range from $8-$46. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 408-354-7700. Regular dinner service will resume that evening.

When/Where: 7-11 p.m., Friday, June 15; 6:30-10:30 p.m., Saturday, June 16, Viva Los Gatos, 15970 Los Gatos Blvd., Los Gatos.

What: Celebrate Father's Day at your neighborhood eatery with fine dining and live music from Acoustic Soul.

Cost: Depends on what you order. Reservations are required. Make them by clicking here.


When/Where: 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Sunday, June 17, , 20955 Stevens Creek Blvd.
What: Treat dad to a tasty brunch on the cheap. Whole Foods in Cupertino is offering a decadent , with waffles and omelettes on order.
Cost: $10. 

Vintage Car and Motorcycle Show
When/Where: 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Sunday, June 17, , 1000 S. Park Victoria Drive, Milpitas
What: View old-school cars and motorcycles with dad on Sunday morning. Stop by the day before, Saturday, June 16, for a dads and kids breakfast, 9-11 a.m.

Cost: Free

I just emailed Sgt. Stephen Walpole, but he's on vacation until June 20. I last reported on a rapeRead More at the Los Gatos Lodge in March, but Sgt. Harris back then said the department's records unit need time to research just how many of these sex crimes had been reported to police. I'll check with the district.
