VIDEO: The Popularity of the Los Gatos Creek Trail

Ten-mile path crosses Campbell and Los Gatos, serving a variety of recreational needs.

What would the Silicon Valley Marathon in October do without the popular Los Gatos Creek Trail? The 26.2-mile race uses most of the trail for its distance, saving race organizers money by keeping runners on its path and avoiding costly street closures.

About 10 miles traverse through Campbell and Los Gatos, with a small section reaching San Jose. For everyday users, however, the trail offers much more than a venue for marathon running and competitive races. It’s a safe place where the public can get a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of life.

Hundreds of people use the Los Gatos Creek Trail on any given day. Walkers, joggers, bicyclists and nature lovers return time and time again to connect with the outdoors, get a little exercise and have fun.
