Los Gatos Football: Wildcats Face Falcons Friday Night

Game starts at 7:30 p.m. at Helm Field in Los Gatos.

Los Gatos High School renews its long-standing rivalry against Saratoga High School Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Helm Field, 20 High School Court, during a much-anticipated game between the Wildcats and the Falcons.

The Wildcats are also on a winning streak, having defeated the Mountain View High School Spartans by a score of 44-7 last Friday, Oct. 18.

The wins:

  • On Sept. 20, the 'Cats beat San Benito by a score of 28-14
  • On Oct. 4, the 'Cats beat Santa Clara by a score of 42-0
  • On Oct. 11, the 'Cats beat Fremont by a score of 42-0
  • On Oct. 18, the 'Cats beat Mountain View by a score of 44-7

The Wildcats are currently ranked 3-0 in the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League's De Anza Division.

According to the high school sports website MaxPreps.com, the Wildcats rankings are:

National Rank 3392
State (CA) Rank 271

The Falcons' rankings are:

Overall 1-5
League 0-3

The Los Gatos High School Field Hockey team is holding its annual "Chicks With Sticks" steak dinner fundraiser benefiting the girls' hockey program at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 on the home economics patio in the science building on campus.

The event is posted on the LGHS' calendar under the slogan: "Eat Steak, Beat Toga."

The event brings more than 700 community members each year for a delicious meal before the popular game.

Tickets are $15 per person and includes Tri-tip steak, home-cooked ranch beans, fresh salad, garlic bread, drinks and desserts.
