The 20th Skyland Mountain Run takes place at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, July 14 at Radonich Ranch, 25149 Highland Way in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The event is sponsored by Skyland Church and time is running out to register and join either the 10K or 5K races, prizes and breakfast associated with this fun event. Everyone is invited to participate, including walkers, children and those with disabilities. Entrants receive T-shirts, raffle tickets, and a pancake breakfast. The Squeeze Daddy Zydeco band will provide live music. All proceeds go to charity, with gifts to the Loma Prieta Volunteer Fire Fighters, Parents helping Parents of Santa Clara, Bread for the World, and 14 other community, local, and international organizations. The event also includes a fun run for kids under 10, which starts at 9:45 a.m. Registration is $25 before July 11, and $35 on race day, when registration begins at 7:15 a.m. Registration for the kids' race—children under 10—is $13 before July 11, and $15 on race day. The sixth free Vasona Vibrations concert takes place 5-7 p.m., Saturday, July 7, at Vasona Lake County Park, 333 Blossom Hill Rd., on the lawn near the Ranger Office. Playing this Saturday will be Kitchen Help. The 10th annual music series is sponsored by the Santa Clara County Parks and South Bay Folks.
