Did You Pound the Los Gatos Resolution Run?

If so, we want your photos!

More than 300 people participated in the 18th Los Gatos Resolution Run Tuesday, Jan. 1 at the Los Gatos High School track.

The 5-mile race winner was Danny miller, who completed the fast and arduous run to Lexington Dam and back with a time of 0:29:47. Not bad for a 50-year-old guy!

Coming in second place was Casey Strange, 48, who finished the 8K course in 0:30:05. He was followed by Chantelle Wilder, 27, who crossed the finish line in 0:30:17.

Race Director Willie Harmatz, co-owner of Athletic Performance in Los Gatos, has been working races like the Resolution Run for 36 years.

The former Los Gatos High School track and cross country coach said the event continues to benefit athletes, average folk of all fitness levels and the school's athletic programs.

The event is also a fundraiser for Los Gatos High School, with all proceeds benefiting the Los Gatos Athletic Association.

Thanks to Los Gatos Patch reader Amy Hovik, this editor's former running partner, for sharing these photos of her participation in the run along with running buddy Deborah Torrens.
