Wildcats Host Los Altos Eagles Tonight

Los Gatos High School is also celebrating its Homecoming coronation at Helm Field.

The Los Gatos Wildcats host the Los Altos Eagles tonight at Helm Field at 7:30 p.m.

Los Gatos hopes to deliver an exciting game that should provide playing time for all of the boys.

Each one of the 44 players on the team has seen time on the field this season and tonight should be the same. They all work with the same intensity—from first string to the third string. When a player's name is yelled to run onto the field, lighting hits his heels—and he's ready to give it 150 percent.

So here we are again, Friday night-lights, home field advantage, and with a quintessential piece of the all-American high school experience—the Homecoming Coronation.

The royal court will come on to the field with as much fanfare and excitement as there always is at Helm. But this year, somehow, it seems more magical. Is it the success of ? Is it the Catmobile rolling onto the field? Or is it that the whole experience takes us away from all that is going on in our world right now?

Los Gatos Football, its team, parents, alumni and fans, the homecoming court, are really what it is all about. 

Watching what has not changed in this country since the oldest high school football rivalry was played on May 12, 1875. It's a night to spend enjoying each other.
