What to Expect From Tonight's School Board Meeting

Los Gatos Union School District trustees to hear a Measure E update and school survey results.

The Board of Trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at district headquarters, Thomas P. O'Donnell District Office, 17010 Roberts Rd. The board is expected to consider the following items, among others:

  • The California Department of Education recommends that school districts provide regular reports on how surplus funds are invested. Currently, district funds are on deposit with Santa Clara County, and by virtue of this, are included in the County Investment Portfolio.
  • Enrollment report.
  • Measure E Update: Leslie Paulides, assistant superintendent of business services, will update the board on the status of Measure E.
  • Dr. Bitsey Stark will present the results of parent and teacher surveys administered last spring. The data gathered from both surveys is used annually to improve communication, plan for professional development and analyze growth over time. The surveys provide insight into the district climate and support, programs aligned to the strategic plan, the academic program, technology and safety.
