What to Expect from Tonight's School Board Meeting

A resolution authorizing participation in the Cash Reserve Program and a temporary borrowing of funds for fiscal year 2011-12 is on the agenda.

The Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Saratoga High School Library, 20300 Herriman Ave., in Saratoga, to consider the following items:

  • A report about the use of district facilities.
  • A proposal for a comprehensive energy assessment by Innovative Energy Services Inc.
  • A report on progress of superintendent goals for the 2010-11 school year.
  • A resolution supporting full state funding for AB 3632, a measure that would provide funding for Santa Clara County mental health services for children with disabilities.
  • Agreement with School Services Inc. for a special education efficiency study.
  • A resolution authorizing the participation in the Cash Reserve Program and temporary borrowing of funds for fiscal year 2011-12 and authorizing the issuance of sale of one or more series of 2011-12 Tax and Revenue Anticipation Notes.
  • A resolution decreasing the number of certificated employees because of a reduction in particular kinds of service.
