What to Expect from Tonight's School Board Meeting
Measure E and school consolidation report will be considered by trustees during their meeting at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Thomas P. O'Donnell district office.
The Board of Trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 in the Thomas P. O’Donnell district office board room, 17010 Roberts Road, to consider the following items:
- The open meeting will be preceded by a closed session, 5:30-6:30 p.m., during which labor negotiators Marla Rodriguez and LGUSD Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Leslie Paulides will discuss talks between district officials and representatives from the Los Gatos Elementary Teachers Association and the Los Gatos Union Classified Employees Association.
Paulides will also update trustees on:
- acilities Long-Term Plan
- Audit reports for the 2010-11 school year
- Update on Measure E, the $30.9 million bond approved by Los Gatos voters in June of 2010, which trustees said was needed to build a new , address enrollment increases and build other classroom buildings in the district.
- Governor's January budget report and a schedule for fiscal year 2012-13 district budget planning.

- Jane Babb, from , has been selected to receive a 2012 Asset Champions Award in the positive cultural identity category. She will receive the award during Project Cornerstone's annual Asset Champions Breakfast 7-9 a.m., March 23 at the Fairmont Hotel.
- LGUSD receives Alliance of Schools for Cooperative Insurance Programs 2010-11 "Loss Control Pays" incentive award, recognizing its efforts for reducing losses through safety, playground security, disaster prep or cyber audits, and other programs.
- Analysis of May 2, 2011 School District Consolidation Report titled "How Small is Too Small," written by California's nonpartisan Legislative Analyst Mac Taylor.
