What to Expect From Tonight's School Board Meeting

Los Gatos Union School District trustees will consider allocating $4.7 million toward the construction of Lexington Elementary School.

The Los Gatos Union School District Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Thomas P. O’Donnell District Office board room, 17010 Roberts Rd., to consider the following items:

  • LGUSD trustees and administrators will recognize district educators who have earned tenure status or received a masters degree.

On the consent agenda, which allows trustees to approve items with one vote and without public comment, unless an issue is pulled from the agenda:

  • Class size reduction operations application for K-3 during the 2012-13 school year
  • Resolution in support of the Schools and Local Public Safety Protection Act
  • Mandate Block Grant for 2012-13
  • Acceptance of LGUSD gifts for Blossom Hill Elementary School in the amount of $7,500 from the Myra Reinhard Family Foundation and $3,345.87 for Lexinton Elementary School from the Lexington Home and School Club.
