What to Expect from Tonight's School Board Meeting
Los Gatos Saratoga Joint Union High School District trustees will discuss their 2012-13 budget, contract negotiations with different labor groups, the upcoming Nov. 6 election and the possible reduction of employees.
The Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Library, 20 High School Court, to consider the following items:
Reports will be discussed about:
- The LGHS English department
- The 2012-13 budget development process
- Recruitment of new principal for Saratoga High School
- Proposed 2012-13 LGSUHSD Board calendar
- Contract negotiations during 2011‐12 with California School Employees Association, Chapter 875 and Los Gatos Saratoga High School District Teachers' Association.

- Santa Clara County Board of Education’s waiver of the election to authorize the transfer of homes from Campbell Union and Campbell Union High School Districts to Saratoga Union School District and Los Gatos Saratoga Joint Union High School District.
- Vote for candidates running for Region 20 of the California School Boards
Association Delegate Assembly. - Selection of seven community members for the District Parcel Tax Oversight Committee.
- Adopt a resolution about the Nov. 6, 2012 school board election as required by the County Registrar of Voters, Santa Clara County.
- Adopt a resolution reducing classified employees due to lack of work or lack of funds.
- Adopt a resolution appointing the LGSUHSD nominee for consideration by the Santa Clara County Superintendent of Schools as the LGSUHSD representative on the Redevelopment Agency Oversight Board.
- Ratify the agreement with Cleary Consultants, Inc. for seismic hazard trenching.
