What to Expect From Tonight's School Board Meeting

Trustees to hear a report on a recent geology and seismology review from the Department of Conservation-California Geological Survey for Lexington Elementary School.

The Board of Trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at 's multi-purpose room, 19195 Fisher Ave., to consider the following items:

  • District administrative assistants will be honored by trustees and district administrators for their service to school sites, parents, staff, students, and community members.
  • Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Bitsey Stark, along with Santa Clara County Office of Education administrators Bill Conrad and Jimmy Scherrer, will provide an overview on how schools are ranked on the Similar Schools Ranking reports.
  • Stark and Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services Marla Rodriguez will present a report for the summer 2011 academic and summer school programs provided in partnership with the
  • Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Leslie Paulides, along with engineering consultants from Alan Kropp & Associates and Pacific Engineers, will update trustees on the implications of a recent geology and seismology review from the Department of Conservation-California Geological Survey for that includes comments regarding fault, slope stability, and landslide issues at the school site. Action may be taken.
  • Trustees and district administrators have developed the Governance Handbook to strengthen leadership skills, improve organizational effectiveness and keep all district efforts focused on student learning. District Superintendent and trustees recommend the handbook be approved as presented.
