Los Gatos-Saratoga High School District Restructures Trustee Leadership

Former Los Gatos High School principal Doug Ramezane will serve as president of the Board of Trustees during 2014.

Former Los Gatos High School principal Doug Ramezane has been selected by his peers to preside over the Board of Trustees of the Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District in 2014.

The selection was done during the board's Tuesday organizational meeting, where Rosemary Rossi was recognized for her service as president of the body in 2013.

Serving as vice president of the board will be Michele van Zuiden and Cynthia Chang will serve as clerk.

Katherine Tseng and Rossi will continue to serve as trustees and represent the board on various district committees.

"Thank you to all of our trustees for their dedication and hard work on behalf of our students and the community we serve," said Jane Marashian, assistant to District Superintendent Bob Mistele.

The district's enrollment is more than 3,180 students and it operates Los Gatos, Saratoga and Nova high schools. It employs 184 teachers and 105 staffers.

The Board of Education meets the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm, alternating locations between Los Gatos and Saratoga high schools' libraries.
