Los Gatos Student Advances to Semifinal Rotary Speech Contest
Olivia Flechsig took second place during the area Rotary Youth Speech Contest March 21 at the Golden Oak Restaurant in Morgan Hill.
took second place this past week in the southwest Regional Rotary Club Richard D. King annual youth speech contest held in Morgan Hill.
Flechsig was among four contestants who participated in the Rotary's southwest region contest last Wednesday. She will now join the winner of that leg of the competition, a student from Morgan Hill.
The two contestants will now compete on April 4 at Doubletree Hotel in San Jose.

Olivia received $250 for her win, according to proud mom Lu Ann Flechsig.
