Brianna is an exceptional young lady who is beautiful from the inside out, according to proud mom Amy Torres, the secretary at
Brianna started playing softball at age 8, mom said, adding that she has a true passion for the game.
"She is the type of teammate every coach wants on their team. She is positive, hard working, and always is a team player," mom wrote in an email interview.
She recently received the team captain award for the LGHS JV Black team, said mom.
She also has a dramatic side to her. While attending , she enjoyed performing in two of the school plays: Esops Fables, and the Brothers Grimm.
During her years at Raymond J. Fisher Middle School, she joined the cast of Seussical. Her freshman and sophomore year at LGHS, she enjoyed her drama classes, performing showcases that were of humor and scripts that were more serious.
Brianna loves to help those in need, her mom noted, giving much of her time to the less fortunate making meals, boxing food containers for the food bank and raising money to help cancer patients.
She supports her community annually by helping out with Girls on the Run. Brianna was involved with the nonprofit during her elementary school years and it helped mold her "into the outstanding individual she is today," mom said.
Brianna wants to be a pediatric occupational therapist and in her spare time she enjoys doing artwork, mom added.
"She is a very confident young lady who is adored by all who meet her. Her inviting smile, huge heart and infectious laugh will be a forever lasting impression if you ever get the chance to meet her."
