"I believe the support and love from my family is the basis of my happiness and positive outlook in life. My mom says that she can always count on me to help her and the family with chores around the house. My mom says I am her number-one electronic gadget problem solver," Alexander wrote in an email interview.

"I believe in always being honest and true to oneself. I don't listen to other people’s negative comments," he added. "My motto in life is, 'Always treat others how you would like to be treated.' "
