“developmental assets” that support the positive social‐emotional development of students, officials announced recently in a press release.
Developmental assets are the positive relationships, opportunities, values, and skills that provide the foundation for a healthy, successful future, district officials said.
In general, the more developmental assets that young people possess, the more likely they are to avoid risky behaviors and engage in positive, healthy activities.
Los Gatos High School Principal Markus Autrey recognized his staff for their dedication and vision, specifically noting the commitment and leadership of Shelby Edwards (athletics), Stephanie Pearson (activities), Amy Gutierrez (guidance), Chris Marra (music), Bret Schmidt (special education), and Assistant Principals Kristi Grasty, Valerie Arbizu and Rob Bobeda.
