Los Gatos High School Choir to Perform With Foreigner at Mountain Winery!

Youth will sing famous 1984 hit 'I Want to Know What Love Is.'

Remember the 1984 hit ballad "I Want to Know What Love Is" recorded by the British-American rock band Foreigner?

Well, a select group of Los Gatos High School Choir students will have the chance to perform it alongside the members of the famous group at a concert Friday evening at The Mountain Winery in Saratoga.

Foreigner partners with The Grammy Foundation to support music education in the schools and the band regularly has members from local high school choirs sing with them at their show, said proud choir member mother Linda Swenberg.

Thanks to the initiative of LGHS choir director Maricel Riley, Los Gatos was the lucky choir to be chosen for the show, Swenberg said.

The choir members can be found prior to the 7:30 p.m. show in the concessions area selling items in support of the LGHS Music Boosters, a community organization whose purpose is the advancement of musical education through support of the music education programs at LGHS.

Door open at 5:30 p.m and ticket prices for the concert are between $45 and $95. Details: 408-741-2822.
