Fusion Academy Los Gatos, a private high school that opened in town in June, has moved to the second floor of the former Borders location at Old Town Center.
The school, which used to be located at 20 S. Santa Cruz Ave., Suite 111, is inviting the public to a grand re-opening tonight 6-8 p.m. at its new location, 50 University Ave., suite A300.
According to school officials, Fusion Academy moved to the 10,000-square-foot second-floor location Jan. 28 to allow for more room for growth.
The school currently has about 30 full-time students and several receiving mentoring and tutoring services.
Danielle Ryckman is Fusion Academy Los Gatos' head of school.
"Fusion addresses the needs of the whole student in a compassionate environment," said Fusion Academy spokesman Dani LePon Ryckman.
"Students who have struggled with a traditional one-size-fits-all school model are finding great success at Fusion Academy. While providing a high quality college prep education, Fusion also incorporates the arts, music, a professional recording studio, yoga and social activities in its curriculum," she added.
On Wednesday evening, Lucy Activewear appeared before the Los Gatos Planning Commission to receive a conditional-use permit to operate at one of the bottom suites at the location.
