A $100,000 grant that Santa Clara County Public Health Department’s Traffic Safe Communities Network (TSCN) has just received will up the ante on preventative teen drinking and driving efforts.
Santa Clara County Health Officer and TSCN Co-chair Dr. Marty Fenstersheib says the funding “will allow us to use a variety of strategies to educate teens about the choices and consequences of drinking and driving in an effort to reduce crashes, injuries, and deaths.”
Prevention activities, FREE OF CHARGE, are being offerened on a limited basis to any any high school in Santa Clara County through September 30, 2012.
