"Sages and Teachers" Speaker Series: Professor Shulamit Magnus

On Sunday, March 27th Dr. Magnus, Associate Professor of History and Jewish Studies at Oberlin College, will speak on "A Woman's Enlightenment: Pauline Wengeroff and the Voice of Jewish Modernity." Her talk will center on the writings of Pauline Wengeroff, whose memoirs described Jewish society in Russia and how the unraveling of traditional Jewish life in the 19th century affected women and families.
