What to Expect From Tonight's Town Council Meeting

Candidates applying to serve on Los Gatos boards, commissions and committees will be interviewed starting at 5:45 p.m.

The Los Gatos Town Council, which also serves as the Parking Authority and Redevelopment Agency, will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 19, at Town Council Chambers, 110 E. Main St.

On the consent agenda, which allows the five-member body to approve several items with one vote and without public comment, are:

  • Adopt Council committee appointments effective January, 2012.
  • Reaffirmation of the Los Gatos Town Council Code of Conduct Policy.
  • Authorize Los Gatos Town Manager Greg Larson to accept County of Santa Clara Public Health Department Obesity Prevention Initiative Grant Funds for fiscal year 2011-12 in the amount of $20,052. The money will go into the town's general fund operating budget.
  • Authorize the town manager to execute a construction contract with GradeTech Inc. in an amount not to exceed $1,023,967 and amend a professional services agreement with BKF Engineers Inc. to provide construction support services in an amount not to exceed $40,924.
  • Authorize the town manager to execute a certificate of acceptance and notice of completion of the siding project
    by Bogard Construction.
  • Accept report on the temporary installation of traffic calming devices for the Bella Vista neighborhood.

The Council, acting as the RDA, will also:

  • Adopt a resolution approving the fiscal year 2010-11 Los Gatos Redevelopment Agency annual report.

On the public hearing portion of the agenda, which allows concerned residents three minutes to speak on any issue:

  • Architecture and site application for property located at 321 W. Main St. The property owners are Edward and Nicole Reginelli. The applicant is Brian Aced, with De Mattei Construction. The appellant is Paul Rufano for Robert Burba, who is appealing a Los Gatos Planning Commission decision to approve a second story addition to a single-family residence.
