What to Expect From Tonight's Planning Commission Meeting

Single-family home on Hillbrook School property is on the agenda.

The will meet at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 14 at Town Council Chambers, 110 E. Main St.

On the consent agenda, which allows the seven-member body to approve several items with one vote and without public comment, are:

  • The Los Gatos Parks and Public Works Department is requesting a conditional-use permit [CUP] for the Live Oak Manor Park master plan on property owned by the town and zoned resource conservation located at 220 Carlton Ave.
  • Applicant Anthony Miller, with the Amour Patisserie bakery, is requesting a CUP modification to change the hours of operation of the now-closed business located at 13 No. Santa Cruz Ave. The land is located in the central business district commercial zone and has a designation of landmark and historic preservation. The property owner is La Canada Investments.
  • Ken Martin is requesting a CUP modification at 201 No. Santa Cruz Ave. to expand Mike’s Bikes into a downtown commercial space currently occupied by on property zoned central business district commercial zone. The property owners are Bud and Nancy Christensen. This item was continued from Jan. 25, 2012.

  • Property owner Robert Herzig is requesting approval to construct a new single-family residence on a vacant lot zoned R-1:20 located at 15220 Oak Ridge Way.  This item was continued from Jan. 25, 12.
  • The applicant is Kim Midstokke. This item was continued from Jan. 25 and Feb. 22, 2012.
  • Consider an appeal of a Development Review Committee decision approving the demolition of a single-family residence and construction of a new residence, specifically the condition requiring utilities to be placed underground on property zoned R-1:8 and located at 16380 Oleander Ave. The property owners are Jim and Dana Elliott and the applicants are Mike and Britt Rowe.
