Wasserman Photo Contest Winners Announced
Photos will be displayed in Santa Clara County District 1 Supervisor Mike Wasserman's office.
It was three iconic photos representing summer in Santa Clara County District 1 that took top honors in Supervisor Mike Wasserman’s latest photo contest.
In his most recent newsletter, the supervisor representing the areas between Gilroy and Los Gatos said that it was tough choosing from the dozens of entries received over the past few weeks.
The winners, which will be featured in the supervisor’s office at 70 West Hedding St., San Jose, were:

- Rucker 2nd Grade Camp out–A Trail to Childhood Memories, taken at Henry Coe State Park by Jessica Sharp
- Morgan Hill Fourth of July Parade, taken in Morgan Hill by Mary Anne Groen
- Where is their daddy, Mimi?, taken at Vasona Park by Marilyn Beaulieu
The former Los Gatos mayor and town resident featured several honorable mentions on his Flickr gallery. This was the second photo contest held for the district since the popular first event held in January.
A third contest is in the works, but no date has been set, said Elizabeth Sanford, policy analyst at the district office.

Wasserman’s newsletter also highlighted at the proposed Gilroy Compassion Center and gave a shout-out to the more than 30 certified farmers markets in the county (including the Gilroy Farmers Market).
