Aug. 15, 2011: Los Gatos Town Council approves the Albright Way project on a motion by then Vice Mayor Steve Rice, seconded by Councilwoman Diane McNutt, opposed by then Council members Barbara Spector and Steve Leonardis.

Sept. 6, 2011: The Los Gatos Town Council votes 3-2 to approve the demolishing of five existing buildings on the 21-acre property located at the corner of Winchester Boulevard and Albright Way. Los Gatos Mayor Joe Pirzynski, Vice Mayor Steve Rice and Councilwoman Diane McNutt voted in favor, while Councilwoman Barbara Spector and Councilman Steve Leonardis voted against.

Sept. 14, 2011:
A group of residents named Los Gatos Citizens for Responsible Development, headed by plaintiff Lee Quintana, file a lawsuit against the Town of Los Gatos alleging it approved the Los Gatos Business Park project, where Netflix could possibly expand to in the future, on an inadequate mitigated negative declaration of environmental impacts.

April 23, 2012:
Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Joseph H. Huber rules that the town's first approval of the project Aug. 15, 2011 violated the California Environmental Quality Act. Order the completion of an environmental impact report on the project.

September of 2012: The Los Gatos Town Council in September of 2012 rescinded its project approvals due to Judge Huber's ruling and project developer John R. Shenk, on behalf of Los Gatos Business Park, LLC., began a new application.

December of 2012: Future Netflix project developer John Shenk said a new 10-year lease signed by the giant Internet streaming company this week will accommodate its growth needs.

February of 2013: An environmental impact report is being prepared for the proposed Netflix expansion in town at 90-160 Albright Way and 14600 Winchester Blvd, town officials said. The document is available for public review and comment until 5 p.m., Thursday, March 14.

June 17, 2013: Final Los Gatos Town Council approval of Albright Way project unanimously approved with motion by Councilwoman Marcia Jensen and second by Los Gatos Vice Mayor Steve Leonardis.

Aug. 14, 2013: Los Gatos Citizens for Responsible Development, plaintiffs John Shepardson and Andrew H. Wu, represented by Santa Rosa-based attorney Rose Zoia, file a new lawsuit against the project arguing it's inconsistent with the Los Gatos General Plan.

Aug. 30, 2013: Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Joseph H. Huber cleared the way for the project by ruling in favor of the Town and Los Gatos Business Park, LLC’s motion to discharge the writ.

Oct. 3, 2013: Los Gatos government officials, developer John R. Shenk and leaders from Internet streaming giant Netflix hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its future campus in town. Shenk begins tearing down buildings at old Los Gatos Business Park.
