During the new Los Gatos Library grand-opening weekend, director Linda Dydo is reporting that nearly 7,000 people walked through its electronic slick glass sliding double doors at 100 Villa Ave.

Meanwhile, Los Gatos Town Councilman Steven Leonardis shared these photos with us taken by Los Gatos photographer Peter Carter of the three lucky ladies who rode into the Feb. 9 VIP library soft opening in a white Rolls Royce provided by Los Gatos Luxury Cars.

Neelima Das, Kristin Bottenberg and Michele Chavez, with the Iron&Court Engagement Concierge company, bid and won the fancy chauffered ride during a benefit fundraising auction held last year for the Friends of the Los Gatos Public Library.

After their red-carpet tour of the new building, they were treated to dinner and drinks at Cin Cin WineBar.
