Off-Leash Dog Pilot Program on Tonight's Los Gatos Council Agenda

Controversial plan to allow canines to run loose 7-9 a.m. at Bachman and 9-11 a.m. at Live Oak Manor parks will be voted on Monday evening.

The Los Gatos Town Council will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, June 18, at Town Council Chambers, 110 E. Main St. to discuss the following:

  • Proclamation for Small Cities Month

On the consent agenda, which allows the five-member body to approve items with one vote, are:

  • Ordinance between the Board of Administration California Public Employees’ Retirement System and the Los Gatos Town Council to add a second retirement tier for nonsworn, or miscellaneous employees.
  • Purchase of police portable radios with Emergency Management Performance Grant funds and town "matching" funds.
  • Resolution requesting that the County of Santa Clara Board of Supervisors consolidate a general municipal election Nov. 6 with statewide general election on same date.
  • Ordinance amending the zoning code and adopt a so-called density bonus ordinance that would apply to housing developments that provide a specified housing percentage to affordable and very low to low-income, senior and moderate-income housing.
  • Various parks and public works projects.

  • Resolution amending the fiscal year 2012-13 comprehensive fee schedule to continue and adjust certain department fees, rates, and charges.
