Nominate Local Champions of Open Government

We want to know how you feel about Los Gatos' government transparency.

Do you know people in Los Gatos who have championed local government transparency?

Los Gatos Patch is participating in Sunshine Week 2012, which begins on March 11, by promoting the Sunshine Week organization’s national Local Heroes contest. We’ll also be talking up, covering and conversing with you about open government and freedom of information on our site during that week so stay tuned.

This week we want to kick that conversation off with a call to action to you to nominate local open government champions who have played a significant role fighting for local government transparency.

Los Gatos has faced several important issues this past year, from the possible development of the , to the future development of Los Gatos Boulevard, to the property and its subsequent lawsuit. Has the town been forthright with information about these issues?

The deadline for nominations is Monday Feb. 20. The winner will be honored in Washington. We'll share the winners with you once they're announced.
