New Junior High School at St. Mary's Church on Los Gatos Planners' Agenda Tonight

A conditional-use permit for apparel store Lucy Activewear, which wants to move into the former Borders space at Old Town Center, will also be discussed.

The Los Gatos Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 13 at Town Council Chambers, 110 E. Main St., to consider the following topics.

  • Property owner and applicant Linus Lundberg is requesting approval to exceed the floor area ratio for an addition and for a grading permit for a single-family residence on property zoned R-1:8 at 128 Yosemite Way, meaning one home for an 8,000 square-foot minimum lot size.
  • St. Mary's Church and Jeffrey T. Berg, AIA/Steinberg Architects are requesting approval for rezoning property at 219 Bean Ave. to construct a new junior high school, modify existing school operations, and continue church services and activities at the parish. No significant environmental impacts have been identified and a mitigated negative declaration is recommended.
  • Property owner SRI Oldtown, LLC. and applicant Tammy Korte request a conditional-use permit for formula retail apparel store Lucy Activewear in a commercial space previously occupied by a formula retail bookstore (Borders) on property zoned C-2.
