California’s high-speed rail project will once again be under the spotlight Monday, when members of the California High Speed Rail Authority release a highly anticipated revised business plan.
The Revised 2012 Business Plan will be presented at the Southern Pacific Railroad Depot in Fresno by CHSRA Board Chair Dan Richard and Board Members Mike Rosse and Tom Richards. Deputy Federal Railroad Administrator Karen Hedlund and other federal, state and local leaders will also be on hand.

The announcement comes on the heels of news from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission that it will , pending the approval of other stakeholders.

The mayor, meanwhile, has been outspoken in his opposition to the project, at a recent hearing in Mountain View.
The Rail Authority also announced that it would move its previously scheduled April 5 Board Meeting in Sacramento to April 12, in San Francisco, to give interested parties more time to review the revised plan.
Monday’s announcement will take place at Southern Pacific Railroad Depot, 1713 Tulare St., in Fresno.
