Rice said the certificate is awarded by an impartial panel which judges the town's financial reports which "have demonstrated full disclosure to clearly community the town's financial situation to its residents."
Conway, who's been employed by Los Gatos for 11 years, said throughout his service to the community he's been pleased with the award.
"It feels great and we work hard," he said the evening of Nov. 19 upon being recognized by the Council.
He thanked Town Manager Greg Larson and staff for their support with rigorous annual audits. "We do our best to disclose our financial situation for the town ... so we have full accountability to the public," he said. "We're very proud of this award and will continue to strive to achieve it."
In December of 2011 Conway also received the CFO of the Year Judges Award from the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
