Los Gatos Library Closures Announced
Partial closing on Thursday is due to staff development, Friday's closure is due to a furlough day and weekend closure is due to Los Gatos Fiesta de Artes.
The Los Gatos Public Library will be closed 1-3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, to allow staff to attend an all-employee meeting that will address budget implications in view of the economy, the state budget and the local business climate, according to director Linda Dydo.
The , however, will be open 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, Dydo said.
On Friday, Aug. 12, the library will be closed for a furlough day. The Town closes for furlough over the December holiday season, but the library does not and this is its share of the Town furlough, spread out over the year, Dydo added.

Because of the this weekend, the library will also be closed Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 13-14 since the event takes over all the parking around the Civic Center with street closures.
