Los Gatos Has New Community Outreach Coordinator

Jackie Rose served as town clerk/administrator.

Jackie Rose, the former Los Gatos clerk and administrator, is the new town community outreach coordinator.

In her new position, Rose will work with Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Sgt. Kerry Harris on emergency and volunteer services and community outreach.

She's currently helping promote Los Gatos Prepared month and the town’s volunteer program (Community Unity); she will also assist the police department with disaster preparedness through outreach, events and activities for the community.

Rose added she will also act as the town’s representative with local community groups and organizations to facilitate response to community needs; and help with administrative and other programs that serve the public.

Her hobbies include spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Ziggy, going to Santa Cruz, Hawaii, and Mexico.

Rose was appointed to the post in July. Mazarin Vakharia is the new clerk/administrator and her new deputy clerk is Heather St. John.

"It's great. It's really fun," Rose said of her new position. "I've already helped at a volunteer fair at the high school and then we have many events in the month of October."

Contact Rose for any community outreach or service-oriented need at 408- 354-6853 or jrose@losgatosca.gov.
