Los Gatos Flags at Half-Staff to Honor Boston Marathon Attack Victims

Ceremonial gesture to remain in place until sunset Saturday, April 20.

The Town of Los Gatos is flying its flags at half-staff at its Civic Center, 110 E. Main St., through sunset Saturday, April 20 to honor and remember the victims of the April 15 bombing of the Boston Marathon.

A town government employee said the flags have been lowered at all Los Gatos municipal facilities in accordance with the Presidential Proclamation, which President Barack Obama issued April 16. She said the decision was also made at Los Gatos Mayor Barbara Spector's request.

President Obama ordered that the flag be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the federal government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its territories and possessions, according to the proclamation.
