Help Beautify Los Gatos Parks This Saturday

Instead of maracas and margaritas for 5 de Mayo, the , and the Town of Los Gatos will be participating this Saturday in a community park clean-up day.

The service club and town officials are inviting the public to participate in the beautification effort which will begin at 10 a.m. at Live Oak Manor Park, Oak Meadow Park, or Charter Oaks Park.

According to Jackie Rose, Los Gatos community outreach coordinator, the event is catered to families and children are encouraged to attend.

Organizers are asking volunteers to arrive at 9:45 a.m. and bring gloves and gardening tools to do some creek cleaning, weeding, planting and trash collecting until about noon, when the activity is expected to end.

Starbucks will be providing coffee, water, and treats to all participants.
