Get Ready for the Fall Wine Walk

It's that time of year to sip and shop your way through Los Gatos!

You loved it in the spring, and now it’s time to sip and shop once again at the Los Gatos Fall Wine Walk: Downtown and Old Town coming up 2-6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24.

This is the second annual Fall Wine Walk the event has become  tremendously popular–among the shop owners, wineries and local residents, said Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ronee Nassi.

"People enjoy coming into town to shop, taste our local wines, and then dine at our restaurants. We are selling over 500 tickets, and we always sell out. So don’t wait to get your tickets,” Nassi said.

Indeed, the Los Gatos area has a wealth of wineries, and 30 of them from the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Santa Clara Valley will be participating, pouring the various wines that have given them well-deserved recognition as well as many awards.

Lucky ticket-holders can sip and stroll through Los Gatos’ lovely downtown and charming Old Town, sip and shop at the creative boutiques that make the Los Gatos shopping experience special, and sip and eat at the town’s excellent restaurants, many of which are offering specials for the Wine Walk.

A number of wineries that are members of the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce will be pouring at the Old Town Amphitheater, where food from local restaurants will be available as well. There will also be a "Buy Booth" at the Chamber of Commerce office, located at 10 Station Way (near The Opera House) where you can purchase bottles of your favorite wines.

Many of the wineries will offer discounted prices on their wines at the Buy Booth.

Dianne Anderson, president of the Los Gaots Chamber of Commerce, said the event offers the public an opportunity to find some great wines and to taste wines from a lot of local wineries, including some of the smaller ones.
