Two Los Gatos residents were arrested by Santa Clara County sheriff's deputies Sept. 24 after being accused of illegally hunting wild pigs.
The men, Jeffrey Dosier and Paul Cote, ages 44 and 58, respectively, were charged with two misdemeanors each for allegedly unlawfully taking fish and game and failure to procure a wild pig tag, as required by law.
Under California Department of Fish and Game regulations, all hunters must obtain a hunting license to take any bird or mammal in the state.
In addition, a wild pig license tag is required for hunting wild boars, according to the CDFG.
The tags are sold to residents and nonresidents over the age of 12 at DFG offices or through the mail.
Both suspects were arrested at 4:20 p.m. at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, 55 W. Younger Ave. in San Jose.
