Trash Fire on Grove Street

About 20 fire personnel respond to small blaze that is quickly extinguished.

A small trash fire that ignited in a wooden enclosure Tuesday afternoon at about 4 p.m. next to a residence located at 53 Grove St. was quickly extinguished by Santa Clara County firefighters.

According to Dennis Johnsen, Santa Clara County Fire Department's Arson Unit chief, the fire was catalogued as a first full-alarm blaze, which means flames were seen and therefore about 20 firefighters responded, including three engines and a couple of fire trucks.

Johnsen said the embers were quickly extinguished and the call was cancelled soon after it was reported.
