Teen Reported Missing Turns Up at El Camino in Los Gatos

Youth missed his bus home from school in Campbell.

An at-risk teenage boy who disappeared from his grandmother's San Jose home on Monday has been found safe, police said.

Jacob McNeely, 17, had missed his bus home from his school, Nor Cal Vocational Inc., in the 400 block of Division Street in Campbell Monday. A school staff member drove McNeely to his grandmother's home in the 4900 block of Englewood Drive, police said.

He was seen entering the house, but his grandmother was not home. When his grandmother arrived home later that day, she discovered the teen had left the house without his backpack, police said. McNeely has been diagnosed with autism, and his family told police they were concerned for his well-being.
