A woman, who supposedly resided in Los Gatos and Sonoma, was arrested this week for allegedly committing financial elder abuse in Daly City last year, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.

Christina Marie Pruitt, 57, was arrested Monday at her in Sonoma, on the warrant out of Daly City, according to Sgt. Michael Raasch.

In March 2013, the Daly City Police Department had obtained a felony arrest warrant for Pruitt, 57, on suspicion of felony financial elder abuse. The warrant listed residences in Sonoma and Los Gatos, according to deputies.

Daly City police were unaware of Pruitt's whereabouts until September, when police developed information that she was living at a condominium in Sonoma.

Sonoma County Property Crimes detectives attempted to arrest the suspect in September, but went to her condo several times and she was never home, Raasch said.

Neighbors told detectives that they had not seen Pruitt for a long time. Detectives were led to believe that Pruitt went into hiding because she knew she was wanted by law enforcement agencies.

Neighbors at the Sonoma condominium complex were instructed to call the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office if they saw Pruitt.

On Monday, a resident of the condo complex saw Pruitt return to her residence and alerted the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office, Raasch said.

When deputies arrived at Pruitt's condo, they found her vehicle in the driveway and heard the television on inside. Deputies tried to contact Pruitt, but she refused to open the door of the residence.

Detectives obtained a second arrest warrant for Pruitt, because the first warrant did not have Pruitt's condominium address listed. The arrest warrant was issued and deputies entered Pruitt's unlocked residence and found her hiding in her bedroom, Raasch said.

Pruitt was arrested for her outstanding felony arrest warrant and booked into the Sonoma County Jail with her bail set at $50,000, according to deputies.
